NSAID's are Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, such as Ibuprofen (Motrin), acetaminophen (Tylenol), and Naprosyn (Naproxen Sodium).  Many such medications are available over the counter, and many more are available with a prescription.

We frequently try to find an ideal anti-inflammatory for each patient, one that would reduce inflammation and pain without adverse side effects, and provide lasting relief once the medicine is stopped.
